History

I have been designing buildings for as long as I can remember.

Starting around 1970 when I held dual roles of working for a construction company at jobsites and behind the drafting table assisting with remodel and home designs. In 1975, I earned my general contracting license from the state of California and formed Friedrich Company. The company started and remained based in the Napa Valley, eventually branching out and teaming up in Southern California to form Turpin, Whitebook, Friedrich (TWF), which built commercial projects with a special emphasis on hotel construction. TWF also oversaw all the early development of the Premium Factory Outlet Centers throughout the United States. Friedrich Company continued to build custom luxury homes, wineries and commercial projects throughout California with a satellite office in Santa Barbara.

My background in having a personal hands on knowledge of every aspect of the building trades, as well as having the privilege to have worked directly with some of the great architects and designers of our time, has allowed me to personally design numerous projects while maintaining the highest standards of excellence in design, construction and attention to detail.

We work with the latest technical design tools including Revit, AutoCAD and Google Sketchup.

I do not charge for consultation meetings and enjoy helping my clients get the most information possible as they make their choice in selecting a partner to design their project with.
